S.W.’s Verdict
Anderson adapts Pynchon and somehow makes paranoid revolutionary chaos feel like controlled demolition. The structure holds even when the plot deliberately spirals. DiCaprio disappears into a broken man raising a daughter while Sean Penn chews through every scene he touches. It's two and a half hours that feel like being dragged behind a truck in the best possible way.
