Three hours of men talking in dim rooms and it never once feels long. Coppola built a machine where every scene serves the next, every character earns their screen time, and every death means something. Brando mumbles his way into the most quoted performance in film history. Pacino's transformation from reluctant outsider to cold-eyed patriarch is the most complete character arc ever put on film. The baptism sequence alone justifies the entire art form.
