S.W.’s Verdict
Death's Rube Goldberg machines are the franchise's only real product, and this one delivers them with conviction. The kills are absurd and precise. Unexpectedly, there's actual emotion buried in the generational premise. The characters still exist primarily to die in sequence, but at least someone tried to give them reasons to live first. The best entry in a franchise where that bar sits at about shin height.
