Builds its entire horror apparatus out of sound, which is either a bold creative choice or a crutch depending on how generous you're feeling. The audio design is genuinely oppressive — your body responds before your brain catches up. But strip away the sonic assault and you're left with a grief story that doesn't quite earn its runtime. See it once in a theater with good speakers. Once.
