S.W.’s Verdict
Zack Snyder's personal Star Wars fan fiction continues with a second chapter that somehow has less story than the first. Characters deliver portentous dialogue about freedom and sacrifice while the camera slow-motions through wheat fields and battle sequences that blur into visual noise. A vanity project with the budget of a small country and the narrative coherence of a fever dream. The director's cut will reportedly be longer. There is no version of this that works.
