S.W.’s Verdict
A vanity project where a pop star decided he could act, write, and carry a feature film because nobody in his orbit uses the word no. Shults made three good films before this. Ortega does what she can with material that reads like liner notes mistaken for a screenplay. The visuals try to compensate for the absence of narrative logic and fail completely.
