March of the Penguins (2005)

Penguins walk seventy miles in Antarctic winter to breed. The footage is astonishing. Morgan Freeman narrates like it's a nature sermon. The film is visually arresting but structurally simple — it follows a cycle, and once you've seen it, you've absorbed it. Respect for what it took to film this. The penguins do the heavy lifting.
