Mickey 17 (2025)

Bong follows up Parasite with something deliberately weirder and less disciplined. Pattinson plays a disposable space colonist with the manic energy of someone who knows he can't permanently die and has decided to make it everyone else's problem. The worldbuilding is dense. The tone shifts between dark comedy and genuine dread without always sticking the landing. Ruffalo chews scenery as a populist demagogue in a performance that shouldn't work but does. It's overstuffed, occasionally brilliant, and unlike anything else in theaters.
