S.W.’s Verdict
Two people stare at each other across a gorge full of monsters and somehow the romance is the most interesting part. The first half builds genuine tension through isolation and chemistry. The second half remembers it is an action movie and loses most of what made it work. Apple spent the money and it shows, but showing is not the same as earning.
