De Niro plays two mob bosses via digital de-aging and split screen, which sounds like a gimmick because it is. Levinson directs like a man who has made this exact film six times and stopped caring which version. The performances are sedated, the pacing is funereal, and the whole thing feels like a Wikipedia article that hired a cinematographer.
