S.W.’s Verdict
Boyle returns to the franchise with the feral energy of someone who's been thinking about infected sprinters for two decades. The tension is visceral and the horror earns its jumps. Some structural choices in the second half feel like sequel-baiting rather than storytelling, but the first hour is as good as anything in the series.
