S.W.’s Verdict
The animatronics still look good. Everything around them still doesn't. The first film had the excuse of being a proof of concept; this one has the burden of being a choice. Lillard remains the only person in the room who understands the assignment. The jump scares land because jump scares are basically a reflex test, not a filmmaking achievement. Fans of the games will tolerate it. Everyone else will check their phone.
